Tiga Island (Malay: Pulau Tiga) is one of a group of small uninhabited islands in Kimanis Bay off the western coast of Sabah, Malaysia. The islands were formed on 21 September 1897, when an earthquake on Mindanao caused a volcanic eruption near Borneo. The island is 607 hectares (1,500 acres) in size and has a couple of active mud volcanos at the highest part of the island. Tiga Island is one of the three islands that make up Tiga Island National Park. The Park Headquarters are on the island, comprising an office complex, and accommodation for the park staff and visiting scientists.

8:05pm  Arrive at Kota Kinabalu International Airport (Flight: AirAsia AK1792). Check in city hotel after arrival.

7:30am    Enjoy breakfast at hotel. After breakfast, depart to Turtle Garden Resort(around 1.5 hours).Upon arrival,you may put down luggages, change clothes and assemble at the port.

9:30am    Take speed boat to Pulau Tiga Park (around 30 mins)

10:00am  Arrive at Kalampunian Damit island("snake island") and have an intimate time with coral reef snakes

10:30am  Stay at white sand beach and enjoy snorkeling

12:30pm  Depart to Tiga Island. Enjoy a BBQ feast(lunch) on the beach. The lunch includes grilled fish, grilled prawns, vegetables, chicken, eggs, sausages, rice, fruits and drinks  

2:00pm    Experience the special volcano mud bath and SPA

4:00pm    Free time on island and go back to resort    

6:00pm    View one of the most beautiful sunsets around the world at resort.

7:00pm    Enjoy the luxurious seafood hotpot dinner (Food are all purchased on the day.Selected by Singapore Michelin Starred Chef.Crabs,fresh prawns,lobster ball,shells and vegetables are all available)

8:00am    Enjoy breakfast at hotel.Participate in soap-making workshop (free) or ATV driving(and other activities) at beach(self-expensed)

12:00pm  Have lunch(self-expensed) and check out at 2pm

3:30pm    Afternoon tea time(enjoy authentic Sabah tea)

4:30pm    Hop on the speed boat to discover the rare animal -- long-nosed monkey habitating at Borneo

6:00pm    View the beautiful sunset and evening glow on the boat. Enjoy special Malaysian dinner.

7:00pm    Depart to watch fireflies after dinner. Go back to city hotel.

Anytime before 12:00pm Free time after breakfast. You could visit the famous Kota Kinabalu City Mosque or go shopping.

12:00pm  Have lunch. After check out, depart to Singapore (Flight:AirAsia AK1791)

  1. If you have seasick, please prepare for seasickness medicine
  2. Changing into your swimsuit at the hotel before sailing to Tiga island, as the toilet on the island simple and crude
  3. You may use Anti-mosquito sprays before the hiking
  4. Snorkeling gears will be provided, but for those have cleanliness can bring with their own gears
  5. Wearing dark color swimsuit is recommended when go for volcano mud bath, as the light one may be polluted by the mud
  6. Watch out your steps when you finish the volcano mud bath, as foot with mud is quite slippery
  7. There are many monkeys and dragons on the island, although they will not attack people, don't provoke the animal by teasing. Especially the monkey, they may steal your stuff
